Dende and Mr. Popo are playing tennis, while Goku and Vegeta are training in the hyperbolic time chamber. After their training is done, Goku starts to ask questions to Vegeta, but Vegeta insults his intelligence. Goku asks Vegeta if saiyans are still supposed to be considered young at the age of 80. Goku teleports Vegeta with the instant transmission technique to where all the spectators of the upcoming Tenkaichi Budokai tournament are at. It looks like Goku and Vegeta have not showered in a long time. Also, both Goku and Vegeta have grown beards. Bulma starts to complain because both of them smell bad. Whis gets all the spectators of the tournament to enter a cube. The cube looks like it’s made out of a gel-like structure, and you’re able to enter it without having to open a door. Whis gets on top of the cube and uses his powers to lift the cube below him. It will take 3 hours for everyone to arrive at the tournament, which will be held at a nameless planet. Beerus, Goku, Vegeta, and the rest start to head to the tournament in Whis’s cube, and everyone is having some BBQ. Chichi offers Vegeta a plate to eat. At some point, Goten and Trunks say they start to smell something funny. However, Majin Buu starts laughing because he laid a fart. While almost arriving to the tournament, Goku looks at the nameless planet, and then sees six super dragon balls around it. By the way, the super dragon balls are planet-sized.
Who is Monaka?
Once everyone arrives to the tournament, both Vegeta and Goku meet Monaka. Monaka is in the same team as them. Monaka is short, pink, and has huge nipples. He looks very weak, but who knows what type of power he is hiding. Piccolo and and Vegeta are unable to detect Monaka’s strength. Knowing how Goku loves to test people’s strength, he asks Monaka to show him a bit of his power, but Beerus tells him to don’t fight people in his team. Goku punches Monaka really hard on the face and makes him shed a tear. Then, Beerus gets mad due to his, and smacks Goku really hard in the head.
Super Dragon Balls and Supreme Kais!
Beerus talks to Champa, who is his brother. His brother already has six super dragon balls in his possession. Beerus realizes that Champa had stolen the super dragon balls of Universe 6. However, Beerus decides to forgive Champa, but only because they are brothers. The super dragon balls are a collection from both Universe 6 and Universe 7. Trunks starts to complain about the seats in the tournaments not looking comfortable. However, Beerus asks Whis to transform the seats into something a lot more comfortable. The rest of the Supreme Kais arrive to watch the tournament. It turns out that Kaioshin and Kibito are no longer fused, because the fusion felt weird to them. Furthermore, this de-fusion happened when they asked a Namek to use the dragon balls from Planet Namek to get the job done. By the way, two other Kaioshins are showed in this episode, and both are a light green color, and belong to Universe 7.
Opponents from Universe Six
Vados starts to walk Goku and Vegeta to meet their opponents, who are from Universe 6: Hit, Cabba, Frost, Botamo, and Magetta. Hit is purple colored and it is unknown what race he belongs to. Frost looks very similar to Frieza. Botamo is a yellow colored bear, who wears red boots. Magetta is some sort of machine. Cabba is a young saiyan boy, and his hair looks pretty similar to that of adult Gohan. Cabba asks Goku and Vegeta if they are saiyans. Once Goku realizes Cabba is a saiyan, he starts to look behind him to see if he has a tail. Vegeta tells Cabba that he is dressed the way saiyans did before Frieza colonized the saiyan race. It turns out that planet salad is the native planet of the saiyans, but it doesn’t exist on Universe 7, due to some conflicts that happened between the saiyans. According to Vegeta, after planet salad was destroyed, they stole another planet and named it Planet Vegeta. The saiyans from Universe 7 do not steal planets, and their main job is to fight against evil individuals. Vegeta with a smile tells Cabba that he would love to visit planet salad, and states that he no longer steals planets. Beerus gets mad because now there’s only 4 members on his team. The members were supposed to be Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Majin Buu. However, Majin Buu fell asleep, and it looks like he will no longer be able to participate in the tournament. Beerus asks Monaka to fight last and states that he is the strongest in his team. To decide who fights first, Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo play rock paper scissors. The first match is decided, and it’s now going to be Goku vs Botamo.
