Fans of Dragon Ball Z have a new reason to jump back into Minecraft. Toei Animation partnered with Mojang to release a brand-new DBZ DLC bundle that transports players straight into the World Martial Arts Tournament. This release is the latest crossover event for Minecraft.
Enter the Tournament as Your Favorite DBZ Heroes
The DLC lets players take on the role of iconic characters and enter the World Martial Arts Tournament. You can compete in 1v1 battles, co-op matches, or 5v5 team fights. Everything begins at a Minecraft-style Kami’s Temple, where you can choose from several Dragon Ball Z characters, including:
- Goku
- Vegeta
- Gohan
- Krillin
- Piccolo
- Frieza
- Bulma
- Trunks
Each character features unique moves and combat abilities. Goku, for example, can unleash his signature Kamehameha. Other adapted abilities include the Galick Gun, Ki Blast, and the Ultimate Final Flash.
DBZ Locations Recreated in Minecraft
Battles take place across familiar DBZ settings — such as Gizard Wasteland, the Cell Games arena, and Planet Namek — all recreated in Minecraft’s blocky style. If you need a break between matches, you can visit the Capsule Corporation office for a bit of downtime inspired by the show.
More Than a Tournament: Skins & Cosmetics
Beyond the tournament gameplay, the DLC includes extra Minecraft content. Players receive a selection of character skins for use in personal worlds and servers. Available skins include Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Bulma, and Frieza. The pack also includes a Scouter headband cosmetic item.
Price & Availability
The Dragon Ball Z DLC is available now for the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft at $8.99 (or 1,510 Minecoins). According to Toei Animation, the Scouter headband is a limited-time item, so fans who want that classic one-eyed accessory should grab it soon.
