Bulma has the time machine that Cell had originally used to travel to the past. She had asked Future Trunks if she can keep that time machine, this way she can study what is a time machine and how to eventually make one. Bulma is going to eventually help Future Trunks to go back to his future. However, to reconstruct the old time machine, she’s going to use the notes on the memo that her future self had made. Bulma needs to investigate the energy source system of the time machine. Goku starts to ask Whis to train him. However, Beerus thinks Goku is being annoying, and Whis thinks the same. Whis says that the whole time machine thing is a bothersome thing and that it doesn’t motivate him to train Goku. Whis asks Goku to train with Vegeta, but Vegeta doesn’t seem to want to train with him.
Goku uses instant transmission to travel to King Kai’s planet, and Vegeta goes to the gravity room. Goku asks King Kai to train him. However, King Kai asks Goku to leave. King Kai’s reasons must due to Goku always damaging and destroying King Kai’s planet. Black is back on Future Trunks timeline, and he is destroying more things. He wants to get to know Goku so that he can become more stronger with his current body. Bulma’s dad shows up and Bulma passes on the notes of how to build a time machine. Bulma’s dad decides to help her out with building a time machine. Bulma asks Shu, Mai, and Pilaf to help clean the time machine. However, Pilaf and his gang are up to no good and they whisper between each other that they should take advantage of learning on how to build a time machine.
Future Trunks talks about the future with Mai!
Future Trunks is surprised to find out that Mai is a kid again. He gets on his knee and starts holding her hand. Mai starts to feel a little shy and asks how is she in the future. Bulma asks Piccolo and Krillin to help fix up her garden. Future Trunks starts to explain the history of Mai in the future. There weren’t many survivors left in the future. Therefore, Mai had organized some of the surviving humans, and they shot a lot of bullets at Black. However, Black kept on catching all the bullets and squeezing them, and the same way that Raditz did when he got shot. As Future Trunks started to face Black during his timeline, Black started to say that humans are the worst creation created by the Gods. Black said that humans are irrational and that he needs to wipe them out to make a more beautiful world. Black started to beat Future Trunks and rushed him to injure him. But, Mai shot some bomb from her gun that blinded Black temporarily, which saved the life of Future Trunks. This bomb has the same effect as the solar flare. Mai was cleaning up Future Trunk’s injuries. Mai asked why doesn’t he use a senzu bean, but that was impossible because Master Karin was already dead.
Little Trunks seems to feel jealous!
Back in present time, small Mai is starting to get really shy. Future Trunks tells her that he’s glad that she gave him emotional support in the future. It looks like little Trunks may be getting jealous because of the way Future Trunks is talking to Mai. Little Trunks asks Future Trunks how come he didn’t bring Mai to the present. It seems like Future Trunks doesn’t want to explain to little Mai, Pilaf, little Trunks, and Shu as to whether if Mai died or not. Future Trunks starts thanking Bulma and Mai for giving him the opportunity to travel back to the past. Goku is really hungry and invites Future Trunks to eat. Goku says that King Kai’s food is not very tasty. Beerus is starting to wonder about the identity of Black and Whis say she will himself do some investigating.
